Fourth of July weekend is here! And as usual, we’re telling you to get out there and celebrate! And no, watching previews for the new Captain America movie on repeat doesn’t count. WHERE/WHEN: This weekend’s performances at The Goodspeed in East Haddam: Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 3 and 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 and 6:30 p.m.
WHY GO: It’s opening weekend for the American musical! Show runs until Sept. 11.

WHY GO: Party like it’s 1876! The Seaport has it all with a dory race, civil war re-enactment, children’s parade, concert and more!
