Dancing, visiting, crafts and food will all be part of the celebration

The Mohegan Wigwam celebration is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday on the Mohegans' ancestral grounds in Fort Shantok. The events start at 11 a.m. both days.

On Saturday, Chief Lynn Malerba, members of the Tribal Council, and members of the Council of Elders will be attending, according to a press release from the tribe.

The event is being co-ordinated by the Council of Elders along with the Tribe’s Cultural and Community Programs department. Native crafts and food vendors will be at the fort throughout the event.
