Police need to enforce the laws against talking on cell phones and texting while driving. I run and walk regularly in Greenacres and Fox Meadow, and more than a third of the drivers I see driving by me are either talking on cell phones without hands-free devices or texting. When the traffic light turns red, there's invariably a delay while the driver of the first car in line finishes reading or writing a text or email. The overwhelming majority are adults, not teens. They're moms and dads (many of whom I know), men driving landscaping or other contracting trucks. Are we going to wait until there's a fatal accident in town to enforce these rules?
