Video: Mystic Aquarium Penguin Sporting A Purple Boot

Yellow-Purple, one of the ’s penguins, ruptured tendons in her foot while tussling with other penguins, Senior Penguin Trainer Tracy Camp said.

Veterinarian Lucy Spellman, Ocean State Veterinary Clinic in East Greenwich, R.I. created a prototype purple boot for Yellow-Purple to wear, to help support her foot.

The penguin might have to wear a boot permanently for support. Ocean State Veterinary Clinic will create a more permanent boot based on how well the current one works.
