VIDEO: Humane Society's Pets Of The Week

Funny Bunny, Owen and Bob are looking for new homes

If you're looking for a pet, contact Chris Martel at the Montville Animal Shelter or drop into the  and have a look around. They have dogs, cats and the occasional small animal. 

The kittens in the Montville Animal Shelter video have all been adopted, but the pit bulls and puggle are still looking for homes. The shelter is located on Maple Avenue near the Department of Public Works garage. The number is 860-848-3529.

The Humane Society shelter is located at 169 Old Colchester Road and is open Monday through Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dog adoption hours begin at 10:30 a.m. The phone number is 860-442-8583.

Humane Society employee Hailey St. Pierre -Casati introduced us to these animals this week:

  • Funny Bunny is a 7-month-old female rabbit who is pretty friendly for a rabbit,
  • Owen is a 3-year-old male dog who is very energetic and friendly,
  • And, Bob is a 7-year-old male cat who is shy, curious and affectionate.

Animals are adopted and dropped off at the Humane Society on a daily basis and most of the animals in this video series have been adopted, however these ones are still waiting for someone to bring them home:
