The Town of Groton received enough MREs (meal, ready to eat) to feed 5,000 people said Director of Emergency Management Joe Sastre Wednesday.
Montville has MREs, as well, says Fire Marshal Ray Occhialini. You can get them at the Oakdale Firehouse.
The food, along with water and ice, was supplied by FEMA in the wake of tropical storm Irene.
