Santa and the Whale
The young beluga at the Mystic Aquarium enjoys a little Christmas sax
Anyone who reads the Montville Patch knows that I have a thing for that young beluga whale who loves music.
Well, the folks at the Mystic Aquarium also have a thing for him, too, and have made this video of a saxophone-playing Santa charming this gentle soon-to-be giant.

Mystic Aquarium’s Winter Waterland holiday celebration returns Monday, Dec. 26 – Sunday, Jan. 1 with festive entertainment for all to enjoy.
This weeklong event features exciting daily happenings, including Santa and his elf swimming with beautiful fish, storytellers, magic and crafts, all against a backdrop of fascinating marine animals and holiday décor.

Schedule: California Sea Lion Shows
10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m., 4:30 p.m.
A fan favorite, our California sea lion shows entertain and educate guests about this lovable and intelligent species.
Scavenger Hunt
10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Put your marine life knowledge to the test as clues lead you around Mystic Aquarium.
Bird Feeder Craft
10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Kids will love creating a bird feeder and using it to invite birds into the yard.
Magician Zach Ivins
11:15 a.m. & 1 p.m. (except Dec. 31)
Magician Zach Ivins returns to Mystic Aquarium after amazing guests during Fall-O-Ween Fest. Full of fun and laughter, Zach's impressive magic entertains people of all ages.
Storyteller Tom Lee
11:45 a.m. & 1:30 p.m. (except Jan. 1)
Storyteller Tom Lee engages, educates and inspires children and adults alike with his captivating stories.
Saxophone Santa
11 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. & 12:15 p.m. - 1 p.m. (Dec. 26 & 27 only)
Saxophone Santa's beautiful holiday music keeps everyone in a festive mood, including our 9-year-old beluga whale, Juno! Click here to see their Festival of Lights duet.
Diving Santa & Elves
1 p.m. - 3 p.m. on Dec. 26 & Dec. 28 - 30; 10 a.m. - Noon on Dec. 27
Diving Santa and elves are a sight to see! Watch as they swim among hundreds of tropical fish in our Coral Reef exhibit.
Cost: Free with general admission
