Puzzlethon Is a Big Success

Twelve Teams, and More Than 100 People Gather to Raise Money to Help Autism Group

The Lions Club team, puzzling at the Puzzlethon, sponsored by the Autism Society of Connecticut, raised $932 on Saturday, to help in the fight against the puzzling syndrome.

Tiffany Williams, who led the Lions' Place It With Pride team, was thrilled with the turnout and the fund-raising.

"It's $932 so far," Williams said on Sunday, "and donations are still coming in."

The Lions' team included Williams, Flo Turner, Shaun Tine, Linda Linda, Patrick Doherty and Kathy Fotta, among others, Williams said.

More than 100 people, and more than 12 teams, participated in the puzzlethon.  The fundraiser has been going on for five years, but this is the third that it's been held in our area, Williams said.

"It was a good time," she said. "We always have a good time."

In addition to the puzzling, the Montville Subway donated grinders, and there was a variety of door prizes, including pizza from Friendly's, $15 gift card from Tri-Town, half-hour back massage, and more.

"There are good people in town," Williams said. "Really good people. They're really generous with the Lions."
