Photo Contest: Is Your Dog The Top Dog?

Upload a photo of your favorite four-legged family member and your pet could vie to become Connecticut Patch’s Top Dog!

Everyone knows their dog is the best dog.

Now, Patch is giving you the chance to prove it.

This month, in conjunction with dog-license renewals in the state, Patch is launching its Top Dog contest.

First, we want you to go and get your dog officially licensed at the town clerk’s office in town hall (as required by law), and then we want you to enter our contest.

Here’s how it works:

Beginning June 1, upload your favorite photo of your dog to this article (it’s super easy – just make sure you are a registered user first). In the caption, tell us your dog’s name and what makes him or her so special. One photo per owner.

Between June 1 and June 14, our users will vote in the comments on which dog is Montville’s Top Dog. So make sure you hit that social media campaign trail early!

On June 15, we will announce the winner of Montville Patch Top Dog contest.

You can then go to the town clerk’s office and collect the number 1 dog tag for your pet to proudly wear all year (you will receive an email confirmation from Patch – bring that with you to the office).

The winners of the local contests will then move on to a regional competition. The voting for that level runs from June 15-22, and again, will take place in the comments section of that article (which will be posted on June 15).

On June 23, the 4 regional winners will be unveiled, and they will face off to become Connecticut Patch’s Top Dog from June 23-30. The winner will be announced July 1.

Look for great prizes at both the regional and state levels.

To vote: Look for the number in the top right corner of the photo and refer to that in the comments.
