Here are five groups in town who would love to have your help!

Montville Youth Service Bureau

, which is funded through grants from the state and the town, offers a variety of programs to help kids and families. The and are just a couple. The Youth Service Bureau hosts regular fund-raisers and its governing board, the , meets regularly throughout the year.

Montville Lions

The Montville Lions Club has about 40 members, who organize and participate in events to raise funds to help the people of Montville. 

The group meets the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month, from September through June, at on the Norwich New London Turnpike. Click here for more information.

Social Services

The Montville , directed by Kathleen Doherty-Peck, provides help to people in need. It offers crisis help, and also holds fund-raising activities and makes regular donations to people in town. Southeastern Regional Action Council

helps develop and implement strategies to reduce and prevent addiction, and to support the recovery of people affected by addiction, according to the website. It focuses on all sorts of addictions, including alcohol, drugs, tobacco and gambling. SERAC serves 20 towns in Connecticut. 

Calvary Chapel

If faith-based work interests you, might be the place you want to volunteer. The church is active in the community at all sorts of levels, and seeks interested people who are willing to share their skills with the community. Click for more information.
