Mystic Aquarium Is Free for Montville This Weekend!

Bring a Driver's License or Utility Bill Showing You're from Montville and You Will Get in for Free!

Sea Research Foundation’s Mystic Aquarium invites residents of New London, Waterford, Montville, Norwich and Preston, Connecticut to visit for free on Saturday, May 21 and Sunday, May 22 as part of the aquarium’s new “Your Town” program.

“We are opening Mystic Aquarium’s doors to thank and celebrate our neighbors for their continued support of our important mission,” says Sea Research Foundation President & CEO Stephen M. Coan. “By showing our appreciation with free admission, we hope to inspire even more local community members to care for and protect our ocean planet.”

This “Your Town” weekend is presented in collaboration with The Day Publishing Company to reward communities surrounding Mystic Aquarium by offering free admission to guests who reside in an invited town.

During the March and April “Your Town” weekends, Mystic Aquarium welcomed nearly 10,000 participating residents from invited towns in Southwest Rhode Island and Connecticut.

Guests will enjoy all that Mystic Aquarium has to offer, including the brand new 6,000-square-foot “National Geographic Crittercam: The World Through Animal Eyes” exhibit. This riveting new exhibit allows visitors to witness and experience life as animals do through Crittercam’s deployment on wild seals, sea lions, sharks, sea turtles, whales, penguins, bears and lions throughout the world.

Proof of residence in the form of a valid driver’s license or utility bill is required for free admission.

Mystic Aquarium hours are 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. with last admission at 5 p.m. and general admission is normally $26 for adults, $23 for seniors and $19 for children.
