Multiple Sclerosis Fundraiser Created by Daughter For Montville Mom

Kailah Pflugbeil hopes to raise awareness and money for MS research

Kailah Pflugbeil grew up in Montville. Her mother, Gail Espinosa Pflugbeil, still lives here. Gail has multiple sclerosis.

Kailah has for years been committed to helping to raise awareness about the disease. And now, money for research. So, she teamed up with Rhonda DiMaggio who is known locally for helping put charities together with her fundraising acumen: she organizes events where vendors sell their wares and portions of the proceeds are donated to the cause, in this case, Kailah’s MS fundraiser called Shining Stars - Walking to Create A World Free of MS - Craft and Vendor Event.

Kailah also formed a Walk MS team as a way to honor her mother which now has nearly 30 members.  This year's walk takes place across Connecticut but locally at Mitchell College on Sunday, April 21.

To learn more about Kailah, her mom Gail, the MS Walk and the vendor event slated for March 17 at the Mohegan Fire House, check out this awesome story on the National Multiple Sclerosis Society webpage.
