Montville Puppy Watch - the Sequel

Three of the Nine Puppies Born in the Montville Animal Control Shelter Run, Romp and Climb on Patch

Back in January, in the middle of a blizzard, nine puppies were born at the Montville shelter.

A few weeks ago, the Montville Patch brought you videos of the pups before their eyes were open. Now, they are up and walking around, running, falling, making puppy growls and chewing on everything - including Patch!

Chris Martel, the animal control officer, says she believes all the puppies have been spoken for. Six are living in foster homes until they are ready to be adopted; the three at the shelter are as funny and happy as any puppies ever.

Their mama, Lulu, is recovering from surgery for an abcess; she has had a partial mastectomy. You will see her in the background, wearing a collar to keep her from pulling out her stitches.
