Two Big Events Today!

The Lions Club Race/Walk to Benefit Kahlan Healy Event Starts at the Montville Polish Club at 9 a.m. The Montville Run and Rally Is Today, Too!

On Sunday, there are two big events in town. One is the Lions Club 5K Race/Walk, Kahlan’s Challenge, with all proceeds to benefit 10-year-old Kahlan Healy in her second bout with leukemia.

The other is the Second Annual Montville Run and Rally, with all proceeds to benefit the fight against diabetes.

Registration for the Lions race (you can walk, too!) is at 10 a.m. at the Polish American Club on Maple Avenue.

After the race there’s a concert and picnic, with $10 cover charges for each event.

The family could really use people’s help, the Lions Club says, so if you can come out and run or walk, if you can attend the concert or the picnic, or make a donation, anything you can do would be appreciated!

At Camp Oakdale, there will be live music, a barbecue, face-painting, lots of vendors and more.
