Halloween Happenings in Windsor Locks and East Windsor

Don't be scared go out and have fun this week..

If you are wondering what to do to celebrate Halloween in Windsor Locks and East Windsor, here are few suggestions:

The Warehouse Point Fire Department is having a party on Halloween. Line up at 6:30 p.m. at the main station on Bridge Street for a Halloween parade to the town hall annex, 25 School Street.


At 7 p.m. the party will begin. There will be a costume contest, games, music and plenty of candy.

The Connecticut Trolley Museum is holding its annual Pumpkin Patch. Where families ride a historic trolley to the pumpkin patch and each child can pick out their own pumpkin.The rides are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. October 26, 27 and 28. The cost is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, $6 for kids ages 2-12, and $3 for under two years old.

The Connecticut Trolley Museum is also holding its annual Rails to The Darkside attraction. Patrons ride the horror ride through the dark countryside. New this year is the Haunted Cemetery.

The rides are from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The cost is $13 for adults and seniors, and $8 for 12 and under.

On Saturday, the Warehouse Point Library is showing Wallace and Gromit the Curse of the Were-Rabbit at 1 p.m. It is free and no registration is required.The Windsor Locks Park District is having a Halloween event at 6 p.m. Friday for boys and girls up to grade 5 at South Elementary School.

There will be a show, decorating pumpkins, customer parade and entertainment.The cost is free but participants must register. Call the Park Office at 860-627-1420 with your last name, telephone number and number of children and adults attending.

On Sunday, the East Windsor Park and Recreation Department is having Haunted Happenings at 6 p.m. at the East Windsor Reservoir. The rain location is Broad Brook Elementary School.A candy hunt will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The activities are children up to 12 years old. The cost is $3 per child and there’s no need to preregister. Please bring your own candy bag.
