Daily Five: Tons of Sun, Big Drug Bust and Seniors Meet on Zones, Again

Your Daily Five, Montville, for Thursday April 4

1. It’s getting better all the time. Today, tons of sun, high in the low 50s, but breezy.

2. The Commission on Aging meets this morning at 10 at the Montville Senior Center and among its other rather perfunctory agenda items is another vote on the commission’s position on the controversial senior safety zones. It seems as if this issue will not die.

3. The Leonard J. Tyl Middle School Chamber Choir is selling CT Tigers tickets in an effort to help defray the costs associated with its trip to sing in the Great East Music Festival in May.  The $8 vouchers are good for any home game during the 2013 season. Oh, and by the way, the choir will be singing at the Tigers' first weekend home game on Sunday, June 23rd at 4 p.m. Awesome!

4. The major narcotics trafficking operation that saw almost 100 people arrested and the seizure of lots of heroin and cocaine makes this a safer community. Its just that simple. Kudos to all the law enforcement agencies involved.

5. Well, do you love it yet? I’m talking about the new Patch? Yes, there are a few bugs and glitches but we’ll work all those out!
