At Nearly 106, She's Celebrating Life and the Senior Center [with VIDEO]

Anne Holzl joins seniors, friends and family at the center's anniversary celebration

Music, speeches, memories, food and camaraderie filled the Montville Senior Center Friday as seniors, friends, family and town officials gathered to celebrate 20 years in the building on Maple Avenue.

One of the highlights of the evening was Anne Holzl, who, at nearly 106 years old, has been there since the beginning.

Holzl, who attended with her son and daughter-in-law, says she has "traveled the world over," and had a rich and vivid life. She misses her friends, most of whom are gone, but she says she stays active, continues to do volunteer activities, and works her hands, eyes and mind.
