Anthony Occhialini, a 2009 Montville High School graduate and a 2013 graduate of Central Connecticut State University, was All-Area, All-Area Player of the Year, All-State, All-New England, and All-American soccer player in high school. Since then he was a four-year starter as goalkeeper for CCSU (NCAA Division 1, Northeast Conference).
Recently Occhialini was invited to the 2013 Pro Soccer Combine in Bradenton, FL. The combine is comprised of top college players from across the country and the players are coached and evaluated by MLS and pro soccer coaches.
He has been at the combine all this week and was recently selected to the Pro Soccer Combine All-Star Team. He was selected to the all-star team out of 40 goalkeepers at the combine. The combine all-star team recently played the US Men's U17 National Team in an exhibition match.
Congratulations Anthony!
