Classrooms Outfitted with Smartboards

Excitement filled the halls of Dr. Charles E. Murphy Schools the last few weeks and it's not just because Halloween is around the corner. Our third through fifth grade classrooms are being outfitted with interactive smartboards!

Students and teachers are reaping the benefits of this new technology. These boards serve three purposes. First, they can simply be used as a whiteboard. They also project interactive lessons on the screen. Students are engaged by the opportunities the boards offer.

Finally, the boards are able to connect to the web to utilize online educational sites. Teachers received professional development earlier this month and have been busy preparing lessons. We are grateful for this powerful educational tool!
