Final Flight for 100 Connecticut World War II Veterans

Wow, what an amazing journey we are about to complete.

Just six years ago I believed that one individual could inspire and motivate others to make a difference!

At that time it was hard for me to even envision what we would accomplish in over 5 wonderful years. As we come to our 9th and possibly our final flight with 100 WWII Veterans I thought I should take a look back and invite you to join our amazing all volunteer non-profit organization.

Why did I form AmericanWarrior? The connection to Veterans started at a young age. My Grandfathers and 8 great uncles served in WWII. One Chester Zahaba died over Germany and my Grandfather was blown up in Operation Torch in North Africa. Also I have served in the Air Force, Air Guard and now an officer in the Army Guard for 18 years.

Why send WWII Vets to their Memorials? Their Memorial was completed in 2004 and more then 80% of the 16,000,000 passed on before it was completed. It's our final opportunity to show our thanks with more then a handshake.

What is the AmericanWarrior Day of Honor? We fly to Reagan International Airport at 9am, eat lunch at WWII Memorial, visit 6 Memorials and return home at 8PM. There is dancing, custom t-shirts, thousands of "thank yous" and many tiers of joy. THIS IS FREE TRIP FOR OUR AMERICAN HEROES!

How much per day trip and flight? Cost is about $250 per Veteran. We are blessed to have 40+ Guardians, who pay $300, join us and support the Greatest generation. Each trip costs us about $40,000.

Who can help? We need people to reach out to their communities and invite WWII and Korean Veterans to join our journey. We need students to join the thousands, who have written letters and raised funds. We need individual sponsors for future flights @ $250. Or start a 20x20 club to raise funds to support these heroes before it's too late.

Where to go to apply or volunteer? Please visit us at www.AmericanWarrior.us. Looking back I am so proud of each and every individual and organization that has helped us accomplish our bold goal of 1000 WWII Veterans.

Most importantly I must thank the Guardians and volunteers, who have contributed over 65000 volunteer hours.

Now, if you want to be apart of something very special we have an open invite to join us (Governors Foot Guard, East Granby Marque Fife and Drum and the Glamour Girls) at US Air Terminal Bradly Airport Homecoming on April 27 @ 8pm.

This might be one of the final homecomings in America for 100 WWII Veterans. Join us and the hundreds of Patriots, who appreciate the sacrifice of these great men and women.
