With invited guests, family members and a retired Greek Orthodox priest in attendance to give his blessing, Annie and Simo Fotiadis held a small opening party Wednesday in the brand-new Oakdale Pizza restaurant on the Old Colchester Road in Oakdale.
The restaurant is where the Pour House used to be, but you'd never know it from the inside. The entire place has been gutted and redone, in a sunny style with terra-cotta-colored walls, archways and lots of lights and windows.
"It's not Oakdale without Oakdale Pizza," said Traci Callahan. Now, she said, "Oakdale is Oakdale again."
