Montville Town Management Union Votes Against Concessions
Mayor asked for five furlough days
One of the two unions in Montville Town Hall has voted against concessions proposed by Mayor Joe Jaskiewicz.
The town's management association - the Montville Association of Municipal Employees - voted against the proposal. The Teamsters union is scheduled to vote on Wednesday.
Jaskiewicz proposed five furlough days, on Fridays in August, and one in September. Town Hall would have be closed on those days.
Jaskiewicz said the furloughs would save the town $40,000. Much of that would come from cutting the cost of opening and cooling the building for those five days, he said.

I believe the Mayor has lost control of his senses. Did he just veto a budget that had already reduced costs by a like amount?
